  • CHINESE SPICES: Inspired by the night markets all over Asia and the magical fried chicken sold by street vendors; peppery, fragrant Night Market is a savory, punchy blend of white & black pepper and Asian Spices, used as both a cooking and finishing spice.
  • CHINESE SALT AND PEPPER BLEND: Found on nearly all Chinese menus (Salt and Pepper Chicken, Shrimp & Squid), Night Market is a common Asian blend that will take chicken, pork and vegetables to next-level flavor. Chef Fiona suggests that you slice pork thinly, mix with some peanut oil + Night Market Seasoning and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes to overnight. Then, dredge the strips in corn starch and fry.
  • ALL-NATURAL INGREDIENTS: This delicious, all-natural Asian seasoning combines salt, black pepper, white pepper, turbinado sugar, garlic, Chinese five spice (cinnamon, fennel, cloves, orange peel, star anise, red Szechuan pepper, black pepper) dehydrated soy sauce (wheat, soybeans salt), thickener, and vegetable fiber to prevent caking.
  • PREMIUM QUALITY: Packed in our SQF-certified facility in Pompano Beach, FL, this salt and pepper blend with five spice powder is all-natural, kosher, and non-GMO.

Night Market Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Category: appetizers
This is my version of Cantonese salt and pepper wings that are usually deep fried. As much as I love the taste of deep-fried foods, I hate the mess it creates. These air-fried wings are just as crunchy without the mess or the extra calories of deep frying.
Fiona Kennedy

  • 2 lbs. chicken wings, drumettes and wings separated
  • 4 Tbs. vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 cup potato starch
  • 2 green jalapenos, thinly sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
  • cooking spray

  1. Place chicken in a medium mixing bowl and add 2 Tbs. vegetable oil and 1 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. Night Market seasoning. Stir to make sure everything is evenly coated and place bowl in refrigerator to marinate overnight.
  2. Place potato starch in medium mixing bowl and add chicken. Toss to make sure chicken are evenly coated. Transfer chicken to a baking sheet, making sure to shake off excess potato starch. Coat both sides of the chicken wings with cooking spray.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400F for 3 minutes. Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer, making sure not to crowd it too much. Cook for 15 minutes, making sure to flip the wings over halfway through the cooking time. Transfer cooked wings to a sheet pan with a baking rack set on top. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to do this in several batches.
  4. About 7 minutes before the last batch of wings is finished, place remaining 2 Tbs. vegetable oil, jalapenos, garlic, and remaining teaspoon of Night Market seasoning in a cold non-stick pan. Place pan on stovetop and turn heat to medium-high. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until jalapenos are softened and garlic is golden. Add cooked chicken wings and toss to combine. Transfer chicken to a platter and serve.
